OUR TEACHINGS
Pastor Charles Martin was born and raised in Urbancrest, Ohio. Growing up, he attended Apostolic Christian Church of Christ under Bishop Arden Dennis where he was baptized at the age of 12.
During his teenage and early adult years, Charles found himself traveling on a path of life that would only lead to destruction – until he decided to turn back to God. In 2004, at the age of 27, Pastor Charles rededicated his life to Christ at New Fellowship of Christians under the leadership of Pastor Sylvia Wooden, which later became Kingdom Alive Word Church (KAWC) under the vision of Bishop Gerald Smith. In that same year, he was baptized, married his loving wife, Natalie, and received the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Charles immersed himself in the Word, studying everyday and sharing the goodness of the Lord at work and everywhere he went. His hunger for God’s word inspired him to pursue ministerial education. He attended The Wise School of Ministry and has completed Ministerial Alliance Ministers Training under Apostle La Fayette Scales.
On September 12, 2010 he was ordained as Elder at KAWC becoming Bishop Smith’s right hand and the lead minister.
In June, 2012, Elder Charles left KAWC to answer the pastoral call that God has on his life and subsequently started Kingdom At Hand Ministries in September of that year. He currently resides in Columbus, Ohio with his wife and 4 amazing children: Chyann, Nate, Calise, and Charles.
